New model + updates

I had an urge yesterday to go around and download loads of sliders for CAS, so I did. I found some great ones, and I thought I'd put them to the test by creating a new sim. And thus... Willow Moore was born.
I've pretty much fallen in love with her! She's quite different from my other sims for some reason - I can't work out what it is but I really like it. I've also really developed a personality and back story for her, which I don't tend to do normally.

Anyway, presenting the lovely Willow...

Willow was barely a month old when she was abandoned by her mother and left on the side of a road in the busy city of Bridgeport. Luckily, she was found, and taken to the nearest hospital to be cared for. The nurses suspected that the mother might have been quite young and was struggling to cope looking after a newborn baby, and they named this fragile little girl Willow, for she was very pale and fair and delicate.
Soon enough, Willow was adopted by a beautiful family in Riverview and grew up fairly happy. However, Willow finds it very hard to trust people and tends to push them away, for she thinks that if she never had their love in the first place, it wouldn't hurt as much when they left her. She has no close friends and prefers to spend her time reading a book under the tree she is named after.
Now aged 18, Willow wants to track down her mother in Bridgeport. But to get a flight to the city, she needs money. Money she doesn't have. That is why she is modelling - not for fame, not for wealth, but for answers. For family.

Haha, reading that bio through I realise how dramatic it sounds. LOL xD

What else has been going on?

Well, I won round 6 of the Unbound Open Competition with that winter picture I did. I was very surprised! It turned out to be a close vote, as I won by just one point!
Bliss made this lovely signature for me, which I will wear proudly and display with others over there ---->.

I also just reserved a space for Cycle 4 of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. It was one of the comps I was waiting for - having judged last cycle I realised how fun it was, and I really wanted to part of it this time. It's also a Teen Edition, which is exciting as I've never taken part in a teen comp!
I need to create a simmy, and I think I'll do that tomorrow and put my new sliders to good use!
Teehee...

Merry Christmas!

I most likely won't be online tomorrow, being Christmas day and all, so I thought I would take this opportunity to wish you all a happy Christmas (if you celebrate it!). If you don't, I hope you have a great time anyway!
-----------------------------

I also want to share with you those elusive sim pictures I mentioned in the last post, but kept hidden. This is because they were first shown in the Unbound Newspaper when Bliss did a interview with me, and I didn't want to spoil them for anyone! :P

Here is a headshot I took. I was so pleased with it, and my graphics astounded me, cause they're normally terrible!

I also took a pretty picture at sunset on the beach...
------------------------------------

Finally, I just want to bid a thank you to Jojo! I never know if you see my replies to your comments, but I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate the support you have given me the past couple of weeks. It means a lot to me, so thanks! :)

Good news and bad news...

Which should I start with?

I think I'll start with the bad...

I got eliminated from Sensation's Next Top Model :(
I actually really liked my headshot, but missing out on the required black border cost me points and ultimately cost me my place.
It wasn't necessarily a bad thing that I get eliminated however... I'm now in no modelling competitions, so I don't have to worry about deadlines for a while. I can also get myself prepared for the influx of competitions that open in the new year. I'm looking forward to that!

And the (very) good news is that...

My grandad's coming out of the hospital!!!! I am SO happy, not to mention relieved. Now I will be able to spend Christmas with all the ones I love.
I just don't want him to be readmitted, because I don't want to have to go through that nightmare of a Saturday where we were all saying our goodbyes. I'm going to keep optimistic, and hopefully that will make all the difference.

Now I should shut up for a few days - I don't want to post too much! Haha... xoxo

Lots of updates!

This post is a mixture of simming & real life updates!

Things have been getting better in real life. My grandad has improved, but we still don't know when/if he is going to be let out. Again, I don't want to jinx anything, so I'm just going to keep my fingers (and every other part of my body) crossed. I'm not quite as exhausted as I was a few days ago, thanks to the fact that my christmas holidays have started and I can catch up on some sleep. I still need some more sleep lol, but I feel a lot better! And for now at least, I can just ignore this friendship situation I have going on. The next time we're all going to be back in the same place is when I return to school in the new year, so I'm just going to stop worrying and stressing myself out till then. It's just not worth it.

As it is the holidays, I have got quite a few simming pictures done. Let's start with Sensation's Next Top Model.
For Assignment 3 we had to produce a natural, nude bodyshot:

I can't remember where I placed, but the judges said that my photo was nice overall, but the setting was a little rushed. I fully agree, I was in a rush with that picture lol.

For Assignment 4, we had to produce a natural headshot. Here is mine:
I just realised I forgot the required black border. I'm so annoyed with myself, now I'm going to have some points docked off. Oh well, I can't change it now.

I decided to do a picture for the Unbound Open Competition. We had to portray winter. My idea was to have my model in a warm coffee shop while the snow poured outside. It wasn't exactly how I invisioned it, but it's still quite nice I think :)

Finally, I took some pictures for fun. A pretty unedited headshot, and two shots on a sunset beach. I love them! <3
I'm not going to show them to you... yet. There's a reason for that. But you will see them, I promise ;)

Exhausted.

I am so tired.

I've been spending so much time at the hospital, as my grandad is very ill. On Saturday, my family got called in as his breathing had deteriorated. The doctors said that there was nothing much else they could do. We all truly thought that he was leaving us, and so we stood around crying our eyes out. I was nowhere near ready to say goodbye to him., which made it 1000x times worse. I was at the hospital until 11pm that day.
But luckily over the past few days he's been improving. I don't want to jinx it, but I'm hoping he will be out by christmas. Of course, anything could happen between now and then, so I shouldn't raise my expectations too high.

And so when I've been coming home from school, I soon head out again to the hospital. Sometimes I even have to take my work with me. I just don't have any time to RELAX.

Even more draining is that my friendship group at school is having it's fair share of problems and arguments. I just don't have the energy for this. I can only take so much!
But at least I have my priorities straight - my family will always come first. My friends will just have to deal with it.

Thank God it's the last day before the Christmas holidays tomorrow. I need some sleep.

Updates!

I have a lot to update you on, both real-life and simming! I don't like to post for every little thing I do, as to not flood your timelines!

Number one:
Regarding my last post, I did end up going to my friend's birthday and having a lot of fun! I even stayed later than expected... I guess it's just in my nature to worry about things.. A LOT.

Number two:
Last week I entered my assignment two for SNTM. I was pretty happy with it...

... and I got tied 5th! I was esctatic, considering there are 17 AMAZING editors in that competition!
The judges said the pose and dress weren't quite "couture", and I completely agree.

Number three:
I also entered a picture for Sensation Magazine's Battle of The Babes yesterday. I entered my picture in the 'Nature Chic' category. I really like it :)

Finally, number four:
Here's a little bit from RL.
I'm very pleased because my school have offered me a provisional place at their sixth form! For those who don't know what a sixth form is here in England, when you leave secondary school (high school) at 16, you move onto and atudy at a sixth form/college until you are 18.
My predicted grades are straight As and if I get them when I get my final results in next August, I will be able to do the courses I want, which are: A-Level Biology, Chemistry, Geography and English Language & Literature. (I also have to do an extended project which is worth half an A-Level).
So I'm pretty excited for that. I'll be sad when I leave school in May, but everyone has to move on, right? :)

ANYWAY... enough of me rambling. I need to go and finish my 'GJWHF' scores.
So ciao! xo
